Poem

TLDR: Still Foolish, Not Still Young

Life rages at full pace
I hadn't stopped to think of what I have or don't have
What I've done or not done
Until suddenly, I'm 46 and it's a bit too clear.

Everything is damn symbolic to a poet.
The pound of flesh is taken
By whom, for what, who knows

Against all wish,
become a cliché
but I know enough
not to open an antique shop
and cry
