Chase & Status are made up of British electronic music producers, Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). The duo met during their university days in Manchester, England in the early 2000s and began topping dance music charts in the UK, often with outstanding collaborations with vocalists. For over two decades, Chase & Status have continued to produce jungle music that hits the emotional highs and gritty lows that junglists love, while infectious enough to bleed into the mainstream.
Chase & Status may have won the Brit Award in 2024 as producer of the year for the album, 2 RUFF, Vol. 1, but this duo will never belong to them. They are property of the Jungle. Here are five Chase & Status songs I love:
Emeli Sandé has a fine career outside of Drum and Bass, including songs such as "My Kind of Love". Her forays into Drum and Bass have been oustanding, and I hope to see more collaborations in the future. Emeli Sandé appears on many notable drum and bass songs, including some which have personal significance to me. Here are some of my favourites, including "Love Me More", a collaboration with Chase & Status, plus "My Kind of Love":
